Oakdale High School is a new 249,700 SF high school planned for a student capacity of 1,600. The new high school is located in Frederick County and will serve as an educational, cultural and recreational / activity center for the whole community.
The building is organized so that the public-use spaces of the facility are separated into easily secured zones having separate entrances and uninterrupted regulation by the administration and guidance offices. All public-use areas are connected to a main route that functions not only as a corridor, but also as reception space for the gymnasium, auditorium, media center and foodservice areas. The academic parts of the building include a “cluster” style which helps to breakdown the large building into a series of scholastic wings.
The facility is expected to be completed by the start of the 2008/2009 school year and will house students from Linganore High School while their campus is being re-built.
Total Est. Project Cost $54,519,496
