Gipe Associates Inc. provided all electrical, instrumentation, plumbing, and HVAC design build services for the construction of a state of the art, Gypsum Board Plant in Silver Grove Kentucky. Gipe Associates provided extensive on-site supervision of construction and equipment connections during the design and construction. The plant was designed and built in 11 months sporting the moniker “Drafting Board to Wall Board in 11 Months”. The plant maintains a steady production of 550 feet per minute of wallboard production.

Recent demand in the northwest and central parts of the country for wall board Lafarge North America decided to expand their Silver Grove Kentucky Plant and provide a complete second Boardline. This doubles the capacity in the plant and makes Silver Grove the largest production gypsum board plant in the world.
